Somnath Temple is one of the most important pilgrimages and tourist spot of Gujarat. It is the oldest temple, built in Chalukya style. Lakh of devotees come here to worship God. Shree Somnath Temple is first among the twelve Aadi jyotirlingas of India. The Pran-Pratistha was done by the president of India Dr. Rajendra Prasad. In Somnath Temple, no mobile, camera and electronic equipment are allowed in temple premises.

The Somnath temple, Somnath is believed as the first jyotirlinga among all the jyotirlingas. The beautiful temple is located in the Junagarh district of Gujarat. This is not the only temple which is located on the coast of Gujarat but there are basically two temples located on the coast of Gujarat. As the temple is worshipped for Lord Shiva but according to some beliefs, Lord Krishna also visits the temple once in a year.

Though there is no specific time at which you can visit the temple but the best time to reach the temple is the winter season. You can enjoy the journey to the fullest in the winter season. It is not advised to visit in the rainy or summer season. Apart from this, people also visit the place for adventure things. This place is also famous for extreme sports, so you can enjoy the same in this place.
